President and Founder: William Kieger

William Kieger, President, founded the Aurora Capital Group in 1996. He has extensive experience in business finance and development. Kieger has lead private and public company redevelopment projects in addition to start-up and spin-off ventures. Prior to founding Aurora Capital, he served 15 years with American Express Financial Advisors. As a Division Vice President, he built and managed one of the most profitable divisions within the organization.

Kieger founded General Finance and Development, Inc. (GFD) in 2003 as a spin-off from Vital Health Technologies, Inc. GFD is intended to serve as a public holding company for business ventures that are in alignment with the company’s business model.

In 2005 Kieger was selected by ReedLogic, the leading producer of executive conferences and interactive tools to give a presentation for their Biotechnology Venture Capital Best Practices Conference. The interactive CD and conference materials are being distributed at bookstores worldwide.

Kieger has accepted an invitation by Aspatore Books to be a co-author for Inside the Minds: BioTech Venture Capital Deals that is to be published and released nationwide in the fall of 2006.

He holds a degree in business management from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota. He has completed executive development courses in Venture Management at the Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois and has participated as a member of the Minnesota Venture Capital Association.
